Here’s how to get 50GB of free storage from Dropbox competitor Box with no monthly fee:

  • Download the Box iOS app (free, 22MB). If you have an older Box iOS app, update to version 3.0.0 or later.
  • Sign up for a free Personal account (with 10 GB storage)
  • Confirm your email
  • Sign in on your iOS device and your account will be upgraded from 10GB to 50GB

Box promises that its service has security of: “role-based access controls, 99.9% uptime guarantee, and high-grade SSL encryption on transit and 256-bit AES encryption.”
