  • Show Advanced Tools under preferences
  • Get pre keyed footage
  • Do NOT optimize video when importing
  • Drag special effects as Picture to Picture (can be flipped with effects)
  • Use inspector to adjust colors and audio levels

It closes with a quick guide on how to add DIY visual effects such as photoshop created muzzle flash image (with transparent background) to your video.
