iPhone 5: Aluminum Back?
Apple iPhone 5 might drop glass back and go back to aluminum, Chinese sources reports.
iPhone 5: Aluminum Back
Chinese source reveals Apple might release a new aluminum back iPhone 5 (similar to that of the iPad 2) Macotakara mentions the Economic Daily News report.
So, is the aluminum back iPhone 5 real? TUAW notes: “Macotakara has had a fairly good accuracy rate in its rumors so far, although Economic Daily News, Macotakara’s source for this rumor, has been less reliable in the past.”
Here’s what we think: iPhone 5 aluminum back is fake. Probably only a mockup, not the leaked next generation Apple iPhone 5. Why? Original iPhone with metallic back has plastic strip in the antenna region. Now, iPad / iPad 2 with aluminum back has antenna in Apple logo. However, the Apple logo might be too small for an antenna opening.
But we thought this is the true iPhone 5 prototype design?
Now, onto the non-fiction, iPhone 5 is expected to be powered by the dual core Apple A5 processor as in the iPad 2.

I’m no sure, but it certainly would seem to be a lot more durable than the glass back. Hopefully, what ever Apple goes for it won’t allow its critics to be able to complain about another ‘antenna gate’. That’s getting pretty-dang old by now!
iPhone 4 with bumper case works really well for me.
Though the photo above doesn’t look to be correct, it might be an iphone 4 prototype with it’s no flash and iphone 4 screen size, it does seem to have something strangely legitimate about it. A liquid metal back. Apple has bought out a liquid metal manufacturer and will certainly be using it. Notice the luster and texture of the metal it’s not aluminum.
