Matt Damon is an Actor and Writer who came to fame with the success of the film Good Will Hunting, a screenplay he co-wrote with friend Ben Affleck, about a young math genius.
Good Will Hunting grossed over $100 million at the box office. Damon’s lead performance resulted in multiple nominations for Best Actor. The movie received numerous nominations, earning Matt Damon and Ben Affleck multiple awards, including Oscars Best Original Screenplay.
Director Steven Spielberg, after meeting Damon on the set of Good Will Hunting, cast Damon in the 1998 World War II film Saving Private Ryan.
