Queen Elizabeth Has Royal iPod, Gifted by Obama
Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom has at least one iPod since 2005. It was a silver 6GB iPod mini, picked out at the suggestion of her son Prince Andrew. “The Queen loves music and was impressed by how small and handy the iPod is,” a royal insider said at that time.
In April 2009, President Barack Obama met the Queen at Buckingham Palace and gave her a gift of an iPod and a historic song book. The iPod is loaded with video footage of her 2007 United States visit to Richmond, Jamestown and Williamsburg in Virginia, in addition to songs from musicals.
Rumors are that it was an engraved iPod touch. But no matter what model it is, the Queen’s spokesman said that the gift was a hit.
